Blast to the Past: Block Party Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum


This Saturday October 5th, The Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum is hosting a block party at the corner of William and Main street. Admission to the block party is free and admission to the museum is also free that day also.

  • music with the Southeast High School band and "Pop and the Boys".
  • Antique automobiles.
  • Re-enactors from Wichita's colorful Past.
  • Tours of the museum including the famous City Hall Clock Tower !!
At 1:00 pm from the Mayor's Balcony at 204 S. Main St., Wichita's 1892 Mayor John B Carey (as interpreted by local actor John Boldenow) will speak, followed by a important announcement by local dignitaries.  

Celebrate our local history with four floors of exhibits in the original City Hall building.
