Winter finally arrived for most of Kansas today , just in time for supper. The weatherman had been forecasting rain, sleet and snow since Friday evening. It looks like we are just going to get 2- 6 inches of snow, strong gusty winds and sub zero temperatures.
If you were in town working or shopping and live in the country like i do, traffic was slow going getting home. A friend of mine joked that "2 inches of snow and the whole city will shut down, people just can't drive in it". I have to say he is right, they are already posting cancellations for church services for tomorrow. Forecasters are predicting wind chills in the -15 to -25 degree range in parts of Kansas, our normal daytime temperature this time of year is around 40 degrees. Only 74 more days til spring !
